Hydrogen Futures Ukraine Symposium 2026 in Lviv

A hydrogen project does not begin and end at the electrolyser. It needs a way to reach customers. Rules that make cross-border trade possible. Evidence that its climate benefits are real. Financing to build it. And people with the skills to keep it running.

This was the thread connecting the conversations at Hydrogen Futures Ukraine Symposium 2026 in Lviv on 24 September. The programme moved from European transport and storage networks to bankable value chains, environmental standards and regional skills.

For Ukraine, that connection matters. Hydrogen development can link our energy potential with European markets while creating skilled work and lasting value in Ukrainian regions. Each part of that ambition has to work in practice.

We were pleased that members of the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council and our university and research partners took part in the symposium. The mix of industry, academic and policy expertise in the room reflects what it will take to bring credible projects to life.

Thank you to the organisers for making space in Lviv for a conversation that looked beyond hydrogen’s promise to the work required to deliver it.
