Eco-Optima has launched the largest operational wind power plant in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Hydrogen Council is pleased to announce a significant milestone – Eco-Optima, a member of the UHC, has successfully launched the largest operational wind power plant in Ukraine. The Skolivska Wind Power Plant, located in the Lviv region, boasts a capacity of 54.6 MW and marks a crucial step in strengthening the country’s green energy sector.

The project was implemented by the Ukrainian company Eco-Optima with the support of JSC Ukreximbank, which acted as the main creditor, and the total cost of the project amounted to 75 million euros. This achievement was made possible even under martial law, as equipment installation and construction work continued after the start of the full-scale invasion.

A notable aspect of this project is that all wind energy equipment was delivered to Ukraine during wartime. Among the international partners are leading turbine manufacturers Nordex, Vestas, and GE, who continue to support the Ukrainian market despite the ongoing war.

Thanks to Eco-Optima’s efforts, over 100,000 residents in the region now have access to renewable wind energy. The Ukrainian Hydrogen Council congratulates its partner on this remarkable achievement and wishes them continued success on their path to new energy milestones and strong partnerships!
