Ukrainian Hydrogen Council Signs Cooperation Charter for European Associations Advancing Clean Hydrogen

14^th May marks a significant milestone in the advancement of hydrogen technologies across Europe as 23 national hydrogen associations convened in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, to fortify their collaboration. The European Hydrogen Associations Assembly, organized by Hydrogen Europe and co-hosted by NLHydrogen, witnessed the signing of a Cooperation Charter for European Associations Advancing Clean Hydrogen. This charter, aimed at fostering European leadership in hydrogen technologies, will serve as a guiding beacon for joint efforts among the participating associations.

Representing the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council at this pivotal event was Oleksandr Riepkin, a Member of the Board, who actively engaged in discussions and signed the Charter on behalf of the Council. The Ukrainian Hydrogen Council, in alignment with its commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions, is poised to contribute significantly to the collective efforts outlined in the Cooperation Charter.

Reflecting on this momentous occasion, Polina Kazakevych, President of the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council, emphasized the significance of collaboration in shaping the future of hydrogen technologies "The signing of the Cooperation Charter symbolizes our unwavering commitment to collaborative action in facilitating hydrogen deployment at both national and European levels," Kazakevych remarked. "As Ukraine aims to play a crucial role in advancing clean energy solutions, particularly in hydrogen, we are dedicated to fostering partnerships and advocating for comprehensive policies that support sustainable hydrogen ecosystems."

Key principles outlined in the Cooperation Charter include advocating for comprehensive policy support at various levels of governance, fostering clean hydrogen markets through technology openness, and facilitating the integration of EU legislation into national frameworks. Moreover, the charter underscores the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration among associations, as well as the establishment of alliances with relevant organizations to champion hydrogen as a vital tool for carbon emissions reduction.

The Ukrainian Hydrogen Council extends its gratitude to all participants and reaffirms its dedication to driving forward the hydrogen agenda, both domestically and throughout Europe.
