Dr. Oleksandr Riepkin, a Member of the Board of the Ukrainian Hydrogen Council, took part in the Energy Week Black Sea event held in Bucharest, Romania. Engaging in a "Fireside Chat" titled "Unveiling Green Hydrogen in the Black Sea Region," he underscored the significance of green hydrogen and the advantages Ukraine possesses for its production.

"I never tire of discussing the significant role of hydrogen and the advantages Ukraine has for its production," noted Oleksandr Riepkin. "Green hydrogen stands at the core of our journey towards a sustainable energy future, with its unparalleled potential to decarbonize various sectors."

Ukraine emerges as a key player in the European Hydrogen Strategy, offering substantial potential for the production and export of green hydrogen. According to Dr. Riepkin, Ukraine showcases its readiness to embrace green hydrogen and lead in innovative solutions in renewable energy.

Dr. Riepkin highlighted two groundbreaking pilot projects: Large-scale Hydrogen Valleys in Western Ukraine and the Odesa region. These projects, he emphasized, demonstrate the technical feasibility of green hydrogen production, along with its economic viability and scalability potential.

Energy Week Black Sea serves as a crucial platform for fostering dialogue, collaboration, and investments in the development of renewable energy in the Black Sea region. With participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia, Turkey, and Ukraine, the event promotes essential discussions aimed at supporting sustainable energy development.
