Meeting was held with the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock
On November 2nd, Oleksandr Riepkin, a member of the board of the Energy Association "Ukrainian Hydrogen Council," had the extraordinary opportunity to be part of the official Ukrainian delegation in Berlin. During the working visit of the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, to Germany, a meeting was held with the German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock.

Participants discussed important aspects,namely:
Need to relaunch the H2Diplo project, a German hydrogen diplomacy initiative, to tackle new challenges. This project is aimed at exploring opportunities for carbon-free energy exports and holds special significance for countries with substantial hydrogen potential, such as Ukraine.
The top priority is the establishment of new transport infrastructure for the export of hydrogen produced in Ukraine to Germany. This is a crucial step in strengthening energy cooperation between our nations and promoting energy security and environmental sustainability.
A particular focus is placed on the concept of "Hydrogen Valleys," which involves creating local centers for hydrogen production and utilization. This strategy aims to enhance the efficiency of hydrogen production and supply. Oleksandr Riepkin emphasized that this approach is vital for the development of sustainable energy and meeting our future energy needs.
The commitments of Ukraine and Germany in these initiatives demonstrate their readiness to address global energy challenges and advance sustainable solutions. The meeting between Ukrainian and German delegations promises extraordinary progress and collaborative efforts for the benefit of energy security and environmental conservation.
Stay tuned for updates, as the future of the energy sector is becoming increasingly promising thanks to such initiatives!
