Oleksandr Riepkin made a working visit to Denmark

Yesterday, January 27, during the visit to Denmark, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and the President of the Energy Association “Ukrainian Hydrogen Council” Oleksandr Riepkin met with the leadership of Hydrogen Denmark, organization which brings together all hydrogen and Power-to-X (PtX) stakeholders in Denmark.

The main attention is paid to the possibilities of strengthening Danish-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of green hydrogen production. In particular, the agenda of the meeting included discussion of the Ukrainian government`s ambitions to make Ukraine a major player in the production of green hydrogen, as well as opportunities for cooperation between Denmark and Ukraine in order to use the significant Ukrainian potential of onshore and offshore wind energy to ensure a stable supply of green hydrogen both for Ukraine and for Europe.

“Denmark and Ukraine have similar characteristics as countries with high potential for renewables and could become energy hubs for future hydrogen production in Europe. There is significant potential for Danish-Ukrainian cooperation, which will benefit both the climate and security of supply, and can create opportunities for Danish industry that can provide the necessary technological solutions”, - said Tejs Laustsen Jensen, CEO Hydrogen Denmark.

In addition, Dmytro Kuleba and Oleksandr Riepkin met with members of the Confederation of Danish Industry, which is Denmark's most influential business association and represents the interests of more than 19 000 medium-sized and large Danish companies.

During the meeting, Dmytro Kuleba presented Ukraine's great investment opportunities, in particular in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
