Ukrainian Hydrogen Council and the LCF Law Group have agreed to cooperate in implementing hydrogen technologies in Ukraine

The parties confirmed their intentions by signing a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation. One of the key areas of cooperation will be the involvement of LCF lawyers to conduct legal examination of bills, regulations and other documents necessary for the development of hydrogen energy and the implementation of hydrogen projects in Ukraine.

Ukraine has already started drafting a National Hydrogen Strategy. However, the full development of the new energy sector, in addition to the state strategy, requires the development of appropriate regulatory framework, the introduction of a standardization system, the development of safety requirements and measures in the production, storage, transportation and consumption of hydrogen.

“Issues of modernization of the national legal framework, bringing legislation into line with international standards, launching pilot hydrogen projects are among the goals of the Energy Association "Ukrainian Hydrogen Council" and are extremely relevant today. One of the key elements in this process is legal expertise. Our cooperation with the LCF Law Group will contribute, in particular, to the introduction of a new regulatory framework and, as a result, to strengthening Ukraine's role on the European energy map”, noted the President of the Energy Association “Ukrainian Hydrogen Council” Oleksandr Riepkin.
