Oleksandr Riepkin has been elected Chairman of the Public Council at the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine

The president of the Energy Association «Ukrainian Hydrogen Council» Oleksandr Riepkin has been elected Chairman of the Public Council at the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.

On June 10, 2021, the newly created Public Council under the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine began its work. The agenda of the first meeting included the election of the chairman, deputy chairmen and the secretary of the Public Council.

Artem Semenyshyn, Volodymyr Maistryshyn and Victoria Godik were elected deputy chairmen.

Acting Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Kostiantyn Gura welcome the members of the Public Council on the start of work and expressed hope that the Public Council would take an active part in various areas of the work of Agency, providing recommendations and support and strengthening cross-sectoral reforms.

Oleksandr Riepkin noted: “Currently, processes of energy transformation and introduction of environmentally friendly production technologies are taking place all over the world. I see the main task of establishing proper communication between the state body and enterprises of the real sector of the economy, identifying priority legislative initiatives and state policy on the implementation of renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy transformation".
