Necessary elements of Ukraine's "green" course - political will, effective strategy, legislative incentives and raising public awareness
As part of the Green Deal Network of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine together with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Ukraine and more than 30 stakeholders held a discussion on a topical issue: "Legislative decisions are needed to accelerate the "green "course. The role of energy service and bioenergy ".

The Ukrainian Hydrogen Council also participated in the discussion.
In general, there was an active discussion at the event, within which the participants focused on the following issues:
• consolidation of all stakeholders and political support for legislative initiatives in these areas;
• further development of energy service as an effective mechanism for attracting private investment to improve energy efficiency of about 100 thousand budget institutions, as well as utilities;
• adoption of 5 draft laws to intensify investment in Ukrainian bioenergy and stop spending $ 7.5 billion annually on imports of gas, coal and oil products;
• introduction of a competitive thermal energy market with access to networks of energy producers from renewable energy sources;
• development of a close ongoing cooperation with local authorities and communities to increase energy efficiency projects;
• the importance of quality long-term energy planning;
• extensive public outreach on the economic benefits of energy efficiency and green transformation.
